Responsibilities and Duties
- Project Delivery
- Perform advanced statistical and pathway analysis of OMICs data for customer projects.
- Manage internal teams and contractors in project scoping, design, budgeting, defining timelines, and delivery.
- Support development and implementation of quality assurance processes and risk management.
- Coordinate staffing to maximize revenue and profitability.
New Business Development: Technical Sales, Sales Strategy, and Sales Enablement- Support new business development with the sales team, including project scope, proposal writing, and pricing strategy.
- Define sales strategies collaboratively with the sales team and Practice Lead.
- Create and deliver training programs for sales representatives.
Practice Development- Contribute to the development of services portfolio and strategy.
- Define offerings based on market analysis, customer feedback, scientific innovations, and input from sales and marketing teams.
Research & Development- Lead development of Services Analytics with academic and industry partners.
- Lead development of product-services offerings.
Product Development- Support productization of services solutions in collaboration with the product development team.
Marketing Support- Assist in marketing strategy and development of marketing materials.
Thought Leadership- Lead research projects and publish scientific articles and white papers to demonstrate service value.
Qualifications
- Essential Skills
- Experience with retrieval, statistical analysis, integration, annotation, and visualization of OMICs data types (e.g., microarray, DNA-seq, RNA-seq, proteomics, metabolomics, microbial metagenomics).
- Experience with pathway and network analyses, and integration of multiple OMICs data.
- Proficiency in R, Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Experience managing complex bioinformatics projects.
- Experience with technical sales, including presentations, project scope development, and proposal writing.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of leading customer interactions and writing scientific texts.
- Understanding of molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, and signaling pathways.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
Education and Experience- PhD or equivalent in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computational or Systems Biology, Machine Learning, or related fields.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience, preferably in Pharma or Biotech sectors.
- Consulting experience is a plus.
