Placements24 in Queenstown, Eastern Cape is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineering Specialist to lead reliability programs for manufacturing equipment. You will perform RCFA analyses, implement corrective actions, and drive predictive maintenance initiatives to minimize downtime and maintenance costs.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in reliability/maintenance engineering within manufacturing, strong data analytics, and proficiency with Weibull analysis and FMEA. CRE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of reliability/maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with RCFA and implementing corrective actions.
• Hands-on experience with predictive maintenance technologies and techniques.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency with reliability analysis tools (e.g., Weibull analysis, FMEA).
• Excellent understanding of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• CRE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reliability engineering programs for manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Perform RCFA on failures and implement corrective actions.
• Utilize predictive maintenance tech to monitor equipment health and anticipate failures.
• Analyze data to identify trends, establish failure rates, and optimize maintenance.
• Develop and maintain RC/M plans and strategies.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations and engineering to drive improvements.
• Assist in selection and implementation of new equipment ensuring reliability.
• Develop KPIs for equipment reliability and track against targets.
• Author technical reports and present findings to management.
