Job summary

Cisco Systems is seeking a Senior Release Manager to own the end-to-end release process for our cloud-native platforms. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to accelerate work and ensure timely releases, while streamlining installations to shorten PoC timelines and enhance customer satisfaction.

The role requires 6+ years in release management and hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and Golang or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 6+ years of experience in release management or a similar role within a software development environment.
• Experienced with GitHub Actions, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and a programming/scripting language such as Golang (preferred) or Python.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end release process to deliver a unified customer experience.
• Coordinate with multi-functional teams to accelerate work and ensure timely releases.
• Streamline installation processes to reduce PoC timelines and improve customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to build and maintain reliable software, using GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Implement automation strategies to enhance release efficiency and reliability.
• Develop, support, and improve the platform using Golang and Kubernetes.
