Job summary

Our client, a leading real estate development and investment firm, seeks a seasoned Senior Real Estate Legal Advisor to provide expert counsel on a wide spectrum of real estate transactions, development, and investment strategies across Málaga, Andalusia. The ideal candidate will navigate Spanish property law, ensure compliance, and mitigate risks for a diverse portfolio.

The role requires a law degree and 7+ years in real estate law, with strong drafting, negotiation, and Spanish-English

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 7 years of specialized experience in Spanish real estate law.
• Experience handling complex real estate transactions, commercial leases, and property development.
• In-depth understanding of Málaga real estate market dynamics is advantageous.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills in Spanish.
• Proficiency in English is a significant advantage.
• Member in good standing of a Spanish Bar Association (Ilustre Colegio de Abogados).

Responsibilities

• Advise on all legal aspects of real estate acquisitions, disposals, leasing, and financing.
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, lease agreements, development agreements, and financing documents.
• Conduct thorough legal due diligence on properties and related entities.
• Provide legal support for property development projects, including permits and licenses.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Spanish property laws, zoning regulations, and environmental legislation.
• Offer strategic legal guidance on investment structuring and risk assessment.
