Senior QA Engineer Summary Location : Barcelona (Hybrid) Day Rate : Negotiable Duration : Until end of 2025 Availability : ASAP About the Client My client is the air transport industry's IT provider, delivering solutions for airlines, airports, aircraft, and governments. Their technology powers more seamless, safe, and sustainable air travel. They are looking to hire an experienced QA Engineer on a contract basis until the end of 2025, with a view to extend further. About the Role The Lead QA will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance for our projects, ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and compliance with aviation industry standards. Key Responsibilities : Leadership and Team Management :

• Lead and mentor QA analysts / testers, guiding them through Verification &
• Validation processes to ensure software correctness.
• Facilitate meetings, delegate tasks, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Quality Assurance Strategy :
• Define, implement, and oversee QA strategies, methodologies, test data management, considering the product specificities and schedule constraints (e.G. identifying risk of not testing some part of the product…)
• Define test plans, cases.
• Contribute to activities to reach both Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) Testing and Validation :
• Lead product test activities (and execute some) for both functional and non- functional testing.
• Lead and coordinate End-to-End test activities involving other systems as well as and external stakeholders.
• Ensure the QA process includes robust Verification & Validation to confirm that software meets all specified requirements and customer needs. Compliance and Standards :
• Manage compliance with aviation standards through structured QA practices. Automation and Tools :
• Identify tooling needs that can help expedite tests (data generation, test scenario, anonymization…)
• Ensure the team is implementing automated tests using internal / external tools and test automation framework. Documentation and Reporting :
• Document all aspects of testing, including strategy, test plans and results, defects, identified limitations and improvement plans. Collaboration :
• Engage in Scrum practices, participating in daily stand-ups, refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Potentially contribute to Scrum of Scrums ceremonies for cross-product features and complex customer solutions, ensuring alignment at QA level.
• Works closely with development team and scrum master, factory manager, product owner Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement :
• Apply 8D methodologies for problem-solving, root cause analysis and continuous quality enhancement.
• Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives by integrating feedback from testing and production events into development cycles, enhancing product quality and team productivity. What we are looking for Education :
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related; Master's preferred. Experience :
• 10+ years in QA and testing roles with at least 5 years leading teams.
• Agile practices like Scrum, Scrum of Scrums, DoR, and DoD.

• Good vision in V&V practises
• Proficient in test automation tools and frameworks.
