YOUR MISSION

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to elevate the quality, reliability, and maintainability of our SaaS ecosystem of NodeJS Microservices and React Web Applications. You'll work on test strategies, guidelines, and implementations, and the monitoring thereof. You will contribute ideas, process changes, and new frameworks to ensure continuous quality improvements, acting as a quality guardian across multiple projects and domains. Regular collaboration, code reviews, dark spot identification, task planning, and workload estimation are key aspects of this role.

You'll work closely with Engineering Leadership, Product Managers, and Engineers to improve the quality and reliability of our applications.

To excel as a Senior QA Engineer at Factor-Eleven, you should be an excellent communicator and mediator, possess expert knowledge of Typescript, NodeJS services, React applications, testing frameworks, CI/CD processes, and SAST/DAST tooling, with a strong drive to enhance quality standards. Experience with Cypress, Playwright, Jest, SonarQube, DataDog, and GraphQL is a plus.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability of high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code
• Optimize and expand existing test suites and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate on test strategies and automation for continuous acceptance criteria validation
• Write efficient and maintainable e2e, integration, and unit tests
• Perform code reviews focusing on test coverage, quality, and efficiency
• Identify dark spots and refine test strategies accordingly
• Supervise SAST/DAST tooling and set quality standards across projects
• Maintain a high sense of code quality, continuously raising standards

Requirements

YOUR PROFILE

• 5+ years of professional experience in software automation
• High proficiency in NodeJS with TypeScript
• Expertise in writing tests with Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or Vitest
• Experience in creating test strategies and POCs
• Experience working with AWS
• Knowledge of SAST/DAST tools like SonarQube, and error tracking solutions like DataDog
• Ability to write efficient, reliable, and maintainable tests
• Experience with code reviews in a constructive and strict manner
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• React and NestJS experience in a GraphQL microservice ecosystem (nice to have)
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes (nice to have)
• Experience with AI tools such as Junie/Cursor or similar (nice to have)
