Role Overview
At Lodgify, we are looking for a talented Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our growing team. You will contribute to improving our software and its features, applying your skills across the software development lifecycle to ensure the ongoing success of our projects.
How will you make an impact?
- Lead test strategy and automation-first approach for projects. Mentor the team on test design best practices. Establish testing standards and guidelines across teams.
- Perform thorough manual testing to ensure product stability, usability, testability, and performance on web and mobile platforms.
- Champion quality within our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring testing is integrated seamlessly into automated build and deployment workflows.
- Serve as the QA point of contact and trusted quality advisor for multiple squads, providing guidance, sharing best practices, and ensuring consistent quality standards.
- Build a deep understanding of the Lodgify platform architecture and workflows to proactively identify risks, edge cases, and test improvement opportunities.
- Take ownership of QA deliverables and risk management during development and release cycles, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
- Use tools like Datadog, RUM, and heatmaps to monitor live user behavior, detect issues early, and provide actionable feedback to teams.
- Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, workflows, and tools, driving test automation initiatives to increase coverage and reliability.
- Document, track, and prioritize defects based on impact, reviewing requirements and design specifications for clarity and testability.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, foster knowledge sharing, and promote a culture of quality and continuous learning.
What makes you a great fit?
- 4+ years of experience as a Software QA Engineer, with solid manual testing experience for complex web and mobile applications in an agile environment.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, RUM, heatmaps, and project management tools like Jira/Xray, plus API testing, debugging, and log analysis skills.
- Excellent defect reporting, documentation, and communication skills in English, capable of explaining risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Empathy for end-users and a good understanding of business to align QA efforts with customer expectations.
