Join the SoftwareOne Marketplace Platform Team as the QA Automation Lead and be part of a team known for their hardworking and dedicated work ethic. This is a unique opportunity to work within our dynamic QA Department, collaborating closely with Development, Product Management, Technical Support, and Customer Success teams. Your role will be crucial in ensuring our Marketplace Platform meets the highest standards of quality by enhancing the QA Department's ability to deliver at scale and speed. Quality is a shared responsibility, and your contributions will ensure the team focuses on delivering world-class products.

Remote role - Ireland, Spain, UK, or Poland (Fulltime Only)

The role

1. Design, develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks across various testing layers (UI, API, database).
2. Create, enhance, and execute a long-term test automation strategy, both conceptually and hands-on.
3. Research, evaluate, and implement new automation tools and technologies to improve test efficiency.
4. Identify test automation opportunities, analyze test coverage, and optimize test suites for maximum efficiency.
5. Optimize test frameworks for reusability, maintainability, and speed to provide rapid feedback on application quality.
6. Mentor and guide the QA team in adopting automation best practices, providing technical leadership and support.
7. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the QA team through training and documentation.

What we need to see from you

• Proven experience as an Automation Lead Engineer with a strong track record of building and implementing automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub) and modern branching strategies.
• Ability to lead and mentor QA engineers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various roles in an engineering organization (Developers, Architects, Product Managers, etc.).
