Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our expanding team. You will contribute to improving our software and features, playing a key role in the QA team by applying your skills across the software development lifecycle to ensure the ongoing success of our projects.
How will you make an impact?
- Lead test strategies with an automation-first approach, mentor team members on test design, and establish testing standards across teams.
- Perform thorough manual testing to ensure product stability, usability, and performance on web and mobile platforms.
- Integrate testing seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines to maintain high quality standards.
- Serve as the QA point of contact for multiple squads, providing guidance and sharing best practices.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Lodgify platform architecture and workflows to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage QA deliverables and risk during development and releases, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
- Use tools like Datadog, RUM, and heatmaps to monitor user behavior, detect issues early, and provide feedback to teams.
- Improve QA processes and drive test automation initiatives to increase coverage and reliability.
- Document and prioritize defects, reviewing requirements for clarity and testability.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote a culture of quality and continuous learning.
What makes you a great fit?
- At least 4 years of experience in manual testing for web and/or mobile applications within an agile environment.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design, and the Software Testing Life Cycle.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, RUM, heatmaps, and test management tools like Jira/Xray, plus API testing and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of explaining risks and impacts effectively.
- Empathy for end-users and a good understanding of business needs to align QA efforts accordingly.
