Capitole Consulting busca un/a Senior QA Automation Engineer para unirse a un equipo de tecnología que desarrolla soluciones para el sector utilities. Esta posición implica definir estrategias de pruebas, automatizar pruebas y asegurar la calidad de APIs y UI en un entorno Agile.

Se requiere experiencia práctica con Playwright y TypeScript, pruebas de API, integración con CI/CD y Azure DevOps. El modelo híbrido ofrece Alicante y posibilidad de reubicación.

Formación

• 4+ años de experiencia en pruebas de software y QA con foco en automatización
• Experiencia con Playwright y TypeScript
• Pruebas de API, REST y microservicios
• Experiencia con Git, Azure DevOps y pipelines CI/CD
• Conocimientos de arquitecturas asíncronas y tecnologías de mensajería (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experiencia en entornos Agile
• Conocimiento de herramientas de rendimiento (JMeter o K6) es un plus
• Certificación ISTQB es un plus
• Inglés profesional (C1) obligatorio

Responsabilidades

• Definir y ejecutar estrategias y planes de pruebas funcionales y técnicas
• Diseñar, mantener y ejecutar pruebas automatizadas para APIs y UI
• Desarrollar marcos de automatización con Playwright y TypeScript
• Integrar tests automatizados en pipelines CI/CD
• Gestión de planes de pruebas, ejecución y trazabilidad de defectos en Azure DevOps
• Analizar resultados de pruebas y colaborar con equipos de Desarrollo, DevOps, Plataforma, Arquitectura y Producto
• Contribuir a la gestión de entornos y datos de prueba
• Participar en ceremonias Agile (Sprint Planning, Refinement, PI Planning)
• Mejorar procesos QA, prácticas de automatización y métricas de calidad

Descripción del trabajo

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a technology team working on digital solutions for the utilities sector. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and scalability of software solutions, combining functional testing, test automation, API and UI testing, and CI/CD integration within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute functional and technical test strategies, scenarios, and test plans.
• Design, maintain, and execute automated tests for APIs and user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript .
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support Continuous Testing and secure deployments.
• Manage test plans, test execution, defect tracking, and test coverage using Azure DevOps.
• Analyse test results and collaborate with Development, DevOps, Platform, Architecture, and Product teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Contribute to test environment and test data management.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Refinement, and PI Planning .
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation practices, quality metrics, and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, with strong hands-on experience in test automation.
• Strong experience with Playwright and TypeScript .
• Experience with API testing, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of asynchronous architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6 is a plus.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Professional English (C1) is mandatory.

Location & Work Model

• This position is based in Alicante, Spain . We are looking for candidates who currently live in Alicante or are open to relocating.
• Hybrid work model : During the first 2 months: 2 days at the office / 3 days remote per week. From the third month onwards: 1 day at the office / 4 days remote per week.
