Job summary

InvestEngine is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for the Payments Team. You will design, implement and evolve backend services in Python 3.11 using Django/DRF, focusing on payment flows, integrations and system reliability.

You’ll work with MySQL, Redis and modern tooling while shaping architecture and driving performance improvements. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, Compliance and Operations to deliver reliable, scalable payment solutions across distributed systems and production

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend development experience in fintech or similar environments.
• Strong Python skills with Django or comparable frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, service design and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with relational databases, caching and high-performance backend systems.
• English at least B2+ and fluent Russian.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services in Python 3.11 using Django / DRF.
• Contribute to architecture and long-term development of Payments systems.
• Build and improve RESTful APIs and integrations.
• Investigate production issues and improve system stability and performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance and Operations teams.
