Workato is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to design and build production-grade AI-powered services and APIs powering our enterprise automation platform.

You will work closely with product and platform teams to turn advanced AI concepts into reliable, scalable, and secure solutions used across our ecosystem. The role requires hands-on development, collaboration, and a focus on performance and observability.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python and production-grade systems.
• Experience with distributed systems, API design and data-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, Elastic, Qdrant).
• Knowledge of AI/ML system design, LLM integration, and evaluation pipelines.
• DevOps and observability practices (CI/CD, monitoring, metrics).
• Experience with multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Qwen, OSS).
• Background in developer platforms or AI infrastructure services.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain AI-powered services and APIs leveraging LLMs and ML models.
• Develop an enterprise-grade agentic framework for orchestration and retrieval across AI agents.
• Implement and optimize knowledge retrieval using vector databases and search tools.
• Write production-grade Python code and maintain shared libraries across services.
• Collaborate on architecture, API standards, and observability for reliability.
• Drive full SDLC from design to deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
• Mentor engineers and participate in code reviews to uphold engineering excellence.
