Amaris Consulting is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Avionics / Electronic Systems (Development Phase) to lead end-to-end execution of complex, multi-national projects in aeronautics and defense. You will manage scope, schedule, cost and risk with tight governance and cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, and external partners.

Fluent English is mandatory; French is a strong plus. The role emphasizes development phase activities, high technical content and collaboration

Formación

• 10+ years of project management experience in complex technical projects.
• Experience in aeronautics, defense or highly regulated industries.
• Proven track record managing international, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong supplier management and production follow-up experience.
• Solid understanding of electronic systems development: hardware and/or embedded software.
• Knowledge of lifecycle milestones (PDR, CRD, TRR, QR).
• Experience handling high technical complexity and capacity constraints.
• Fluent English is mandatory; French is a strong plus for interactions.

As aSenior Project Manager – Avionics / Electronic Systems (Development Phase)you will be responsible for theend‑to‑end execution of complex, multi‑national projectsin the aeronautics and defense domain during thedevelopment phase.

What we’re looking for

Experience & technical background

• 10+ years of project management experience, including leadership ofcomplex technical projects / programs.
• Proven experience inaeronautics, defense or highly regulated industries(strongly preferred).

What you will do

1. Project / program execution

• Leadexecution of complex, multi‑national projectsin aeronautics/defense during thedevelopment phase.
• Managescope, schedule, cost and riskin line with:Customer expectations.
• Internalproject governance and gate processes.
• Drive coordination across:Engineering(hardware, firmware, software).
• Industrial / manufacturing.
• Supply chain.
• External partners and suppliers.
• Ensure effectivefollow‑up with all stakeholderson performance, deliverables and compliance in a context ofresource constraints and capacity challenges.

3. Technical project leadership

• Overseedevelopment projectsinvolvingcomplex electronic systems:Hardware items, firmware components and software solutions.
• Ensuretechnical progressis aligned with project milestones and customer commitments.

4. Governance, control & reporting

• Implementstrong governance and project control processes.
• Provideclear, structured reportingto senior management and stakeholders:KPIs, risks, issues, mitigation plans and decision points.
• Anticipate andresolve issues proactivelyin a fast‑moving environment.
• Act as akey interface with customers, ensuring:Transparent communication.
• Alignment on expectations, risks and decisions.
• Fostercollaboration across international teams and stakeholders, building long‑term trust.

Nice to Have – DO Standards (Design Assurance)

• Solid understanding ofDesign Assurance (DO) standardsfor aeronautics systems (e.g.DO‑178C, DO‑254) is desirable.
• Experience working withincertified environments (DAL A/B/C)is a significant advantage.
• Proven exposure to programs requiringcompliance with aviation certification constraints and processes.
• Ability to interface withengineering teams and customerson:Certification‑related topics.
• Documentation and audits.
• Familiarity withhardware and/or embedded software development under DO constraintsis a plus.

Must – Product Lifecycle Management

• Strong understanding offull product lifecycle management:Fromconcept and developmenttoproduction, in‑service support and obsolescence management.
• Experience managing programs acrossall lifecycle phases:Development, qualification, industrialization and sustainment.
• Ability to handledesign changes, configuration management and lifecycle risksin complex environments.
• Familiarity withlong lifecycle constraintstypical of aeronautics and defense programs:Obsolescence, maintainability, upgrade strategies.
• Experience working withPLM tools and processesand coordinating lifecycle activities across multiple stakeholders.
• Exposure totransfer of production or activities across sites/countrieswithin lifecycle evolution is a strong advantage.
