Hitachi Energy in Madrid is seeking a Project Planning and Controls Specialist to lead planning, scheduling, tendering and execution for complex HVDC projects, driving cost control and resource optimization to ensure flawless delivery. You will collaborate with international teams and mentor engineers while contributing to a growing Spanish engineering team.

Fluent English is required; Spanish is valued, Swedish would be an advantage.

Formación

Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Solid experience in power system studies, HVDC, FACTS, grid integration.
Strong knowledge of simulation tools (PSCAD/PSSE/PowerFactory, MATLAB, ETAP).
Proven ability to work independently, lead technical activities and manage challenges.
Fluent English required; Spanish valued; Swedish an advantage.
Strong communication and leadership in international project teams.

Responsabilidades

Lead power system studies and dynamic simulations for HVDC projects.
Drive technical decisions on control strategies and system performance.
Act as a technical reference within project teams and mentor engineers.
Participate in customer discussions, reviews, tests, and commissioning activities.
Collaborate with international teams to ensure safe, reliable, cost-effective delivery.
Contribute to developing engineering practices and the Spanish team.
