We’re seeking a creative, data-savvy, and hands-on Senior Product Designer to elevate our chatbot app on Android and iOS and work on our Group Chats and community features. You’ll drive innovation, enhance user engagement, and design flows that make AI approachable and entertaining for our users, helping us stand out in the crowded AI landscape.

What You’ll Be Doing (First 15 Days)

  • Analyze our group chats functionalities, their current design, user feedback, and performance data to identify quick wins.
  • Collaborate with PMs and engineers to prototype a new feature or flow for how Luzia can integrate into 1 : 1 and group chats.
  • Conduct a usability test to validate initial design concepts.
  • Operate at the intersection of AI, design, and user needs.
  • Focus on creating seamless, engaging conversational experiences.
  • Use data and curiosity to inform user-centered designs.
  • Design intuitive AI interfaces that introduce novices to AI while maintaining simplicity and discovery.

Your Key Responsibilities :

  • Own the end-to-end design process for our chatbot app, from concept to pixel-perfect execution, especially for new AI users.
  • Create visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces aligned with our brand standards.
  • Leverage your understanding of AI capabilities (e.g., NLP, context awareness) to design innovative features.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate designs.
  • Develop interactive prototypes to gather feedback and illustrate ideas.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure feasible and seamless design integration.
  • Continuously improve designs based on user feedback and data insights.

Requirements :

  • Fluent in English; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a product designer with a strong portfolio, especially in app design.
  • Ability to think creatively in uncharted AI territory, designing intuitive flows for newcomers.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Design Systems, and familiarity with data tools like Amplitude or Mixpanel.
  • Experience with native app development for Android and iOS.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and translating insights into compelling designs.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving roles.
