The role involves leading design efforts and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should have experience in UX and product design, strong stakeholder management skills, and be comfortable working in a hybrid model. This contract role offers a day rate of €400-€450 and is set for 6 months with potential for extension.

Overview

An Italian speaking Product Designer is needed for a contract with a leading Payroll & HR Software Company in Barcelona.

You’ll join a global leading B2B software company at the forefront of innovation, collaborating with talented teams in the UK, Spain, and the US.

Day Rate: €400-€450 / day

Location: Barcelona (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: 6 months (Potential for extension)

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll play a central role in overhauling a complex legacy platform used by customers in Italy. Your focus will be on elevating usability, driving design consistency, and ensuring a seamless user experience across markets. This is a key position in a long-term global initiative to modernise a mission-critical system.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design efforts, from discovery through to delivery
• Partner with cross-functional teams in Italy
• Advocate for user needs and push forward UX and interface enhancements
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product to deliver scalable, user-focused solutions

Qualifications

• Strong experience influencing stakeholders and aligning cross-functional teams
• Italian and English language skills
• Proven track record delivering UX and product design work in complex environments
• Independent, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity
• Background in modernising legacy systems within enterprise-scale organisations
• Experience in B2B SaaS is highly desirable
