Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Embedded System Architect & Team Lead to drive the HW/SW co-design architecture group.

The role blends hands-on SoC and IP design with strong team leadership and software-first decision making, reporting to the Senior Director of HW/SW Co-Design. You will shape silicon definitions via pre-silicon platforms, data-driven exploration, and direct mentorship of senior architects and embedded software experts, ensuring software voice guides hardware

Qualifications

• 15+ years in system software architecture, firmware, and HW/SW co-design.
• 3+ years in direct engineering management; senior, self‑organizing team.
• Expert C/C++ for low-level embedded software in RTOS and Embedded Linux.
• Knowledge of AMBA AXI/AHB/APB, memory hierarchies, DMA, ARM/RISC‑V.
• Hands-on bring-up, JTAG debugging, RTL reading/evaluation (Verilog/SystemVerilog).

Responsibilities

• Direct and mentor the HW/SW co-design architecture team and deliver roadmaps.
• Coordinate across digital/analog, software, validation, and product leads.
• Balance hardware complexity with software efficiency and usability.
• Define core firmware strategy for bootloaders, init, kernels, drivers.
• Advocate for debuggability and customer‑facing platform APIs.
