Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Ireland is seeking a Senior Engineer, Embedded Software to contribute to development of embedded software for ADEF & COMMS.

You will lead in creating high-performance real-time software for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, focusing on reliability, security and performance. You will design drivers in C and C#, work with Silicon Designers, QA, and Applications Engineers, participate in code reviews, build tests, and mentor juniors while adhering to licensing, documentation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years designing, developing and launching high performance embedded systems.
• Strong C/C++ development and debugging skills.
• Experience with customer-facing C/C++ APIs and SDKs.
• Experience with HAL and register-level device control.
• Knowledge of ARM Cortex architectures.
• RTOS experience and version control practices (Git, CI).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high performance real-time embedded applications on ARM Cortex-M.
• Develop customer facing device drivers in C and C# for high-speed converters and COMM products.
• Interact daily with distributed Silicon Designers, Embedded Software Engineers, QA and Applications teams.
• Create all necessary documentation to support firmware design and communicate concepts.
• Participate in code reviews and improve software standards and guidelines.
• Develop and execute unit and integration test plans.
