Siemens PTI Consulting is seeking an experienced Power Systems & Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will develop and apply software tools for operational planning and power flow analysis, combining programming with power systems expertise to support secure and reliable transmission systems across Europe.

Ideal candidates will have strong Python development skills, extensive experience with PSS/E and DIgSILENT PowerFactory, and MATLAB/Simulink for model validation.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another quantitative discipline.
• Strong programming skills with Python and software development experience.
• Proven experience in power systems modelling and analysis, particularly with PSS/E and DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Experience using MATLAB/Simulink for model development and validation.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities and ability to communicate with technical and customer stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, test and maintain software solutions and automation tools for power flow analysis and operational decision support.
• Assist in integrating analytical tools, databases and external platforms.
• Contribute to testing, validation and continuous improvement of software applications and models.
• Build and maintain customer relationships and secure ongoing business.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure successful consulting engagements and high‑quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with customers to define objectives and tailor solutions using standard tools and customisations.
• Lead development of Python‑based solutions for studies and decision support.
• Develop MATLAB/Simulink models for power system equipment and networks.
• Create automation scripts using power system analysis tools to improve efficiency.
• Share knowledge and contribute to team process improvements.
• Oversee project execution and adjust scope, schedule and budget as needed.
