Hitachi Energy is expanding its Grid Solutions team and seeks a Principal Power Systems Architect to lead the end-to-end electrical design of hyperscale AI data centres. You will oversee HV-to-rack power, ensuring coherence across five domains and liaison with TSOs, EPCs, and suppliers.

The role demands deep power systems expertise, strong engineering judgment, and the ability to push for innovative, reliable solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Formación

• MSc or PhD in electrical engineering with power systems focus.
• Minimum 15 years of industrial experience across domains.
• Experience with HV grid connections and EU network codes.
• Familiarity with IEC standards for large power systems.
• Hands-on with RMS/EMT simulation tools (PowerFactory, PSS/E, PS‑CAD).

Responsabilidades

• Own the overall electrical architecture of large-scale AI data centre campuses from HV to rack power.
• Direct a team of engineers across five domains for coherent design and timely output.
• Engage TSOs, DSOs, grid code authorities and suppliers as primary technical interface.
• Sign off on major study deliverables and designs.
• Drive equipment specification for HV/MV transformers, BESS, power electronics and UPS.
• Mentor the engineering team and develop capabilities across domains.
