Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U. is seeking a Senior System Engineer based in Madrid to lead system engineering for high‑power converters used in STATCOM and related grid‑support projects.

You will design and model converter systems, collaborate with Sales, R&D, and services teams, and ensure compliance with grid codes and customer specs. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems and power electronics, strong MATLAB/Simulink skills, and

Formación

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering with focus on power systems and power electronics.
• Solid knowledge in power electronics and power systems with industry experience.
• Fluent in English; German or other languages advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Own the system engineering scope throughout project execution in collaboration with Sales, other engineering departments, Project Management and Service.
• Design power electronic converter systems including STATCOMs and other equipment from tender to site execution, including occasional visits.
• Perform system design tasks: simulations (harmonics, transients), performance calculations, and documentation of design activities.
• Ensure compliance with standards, customer specifications and grid codes; identify risks and opportunities; support R&D in modeling converter systems.
