Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Project Lead Engineer in Madrid to lead and coordinate engineering across Grid Automation projects, ensuring cost-effective execution and compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements.

You will develop base designs for substation automation and control systems, verify implementations, and collaborate with customers to deliver robust technical solutions while traveling about 25% of the time.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in substation automation, protection, and control systems.
• Native-level Spanish; English at C1 level or higher.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines on Grid Automation projects.
• Develop base designs for substation automation, control, and protection systems.
• Coordinate technical activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve technical documentation per contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with customers to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Identify and manage technical and cross-functional project risks.
• Support project management with engineering budgeting, forecasting and cost-to-complete assessments.
