Preply, a leading edtech platform, seeks a Senior Platform Software Engineer in Barcelona. You will own critical platform services, drive scalability, observability, and incident response while collaborating with product teams to solve complex problems.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup, contribute to cloud-native architectures, and join a diverse team that values growth, mentorship, and hands-on innovation across the stack.

Formación

• 8+ years designing, building, maintaining and troubleshooting high-traffic distributed systems.
• Strong software engineering skills; proficiency in Python preferred.
• Experience with at least one public cloud (preferably AWS).
• Experience with observability and alerting; on-call willingness.
• Business orientation and data-driven decision making.
• Nice-to-have: modern web frameworks; SQL and relational DBs.

Responsabilidades

• Own the availability and performance of mission-critical services and build automation.
• Improve system scalability, observability, and alerting.
• Build tooling to enhance the platform and development speed.
• Practice blameless postmortems and incident response.
• Collaborate with product teams to design new systems.
• Strengthen credibility through technical execution quality.
• Follow FinOps best practices and participate in on-call rotations.
