Fresco is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer for our IoT Team with Python and AWS experience to drive the design and development of the next generation of our multi-sided smart kitchen platform: the Fresco KitchenOS. Fresco is experiencing significant growth as an end-to-end IoT and guided cooking platform providing award-winning capabilities and experiences for appliance manufacturers, recipe producers, and home cooks.

You will be based out of our Madrid office or remotely within Spain, reporting to the IoT Engineering Lead, who is also based in Spain.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll:

We're looking for someone with:

• 3+ years of experience building highly scalable distributed systems for IoT (think 1 million+ devices!).
• 3+ years of experience architecting and deploying secure IoT platforms.
• Python & AWS pro: You're fluent in both Python and AWS services like IoT Core, S3, DynamoDB, and Lambda.
• Data whiz: You understand data platform architectures and can translate them into real-world applications.
• Security champion: Building secure IoT platforms is second nature to you.
• Communication maestro: You can clearly explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative spirit: You thrive in a team environment and enjoy mentoring others.
• Problem-solving expert: You can identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex platform issues.
• A hunger to learn: You're passionate about staying ahead of the curve.
• Fluent English is a must.

Bonus points if you have:

• A Bachelor's degree in software development or a related field.
• Experience as a data or systems architect.
• A knack for asynchronous platforms.
