Senior Platform Engineer - Data

About the role :

We are seeking a dedicated engineer to focus on our infrastructure and uptime. You will collaborate closely with our platform engineer, front-end, back-end, and operations teams. Experience in scaling databases like Clickhouse and performance engineering is required.

What you will do :

• Manage our cloud infrastructure, improve our data infrastructure globally, manage capacity, and monitor performance.
• Ensure our databases run smoothly and securely.
• Build our infrastructure to be ultra-reliable and resistant to failures.
• Ensure our architecture complies with and exceeds industry standards.
• As c / side is a Kubernetes shop, you will be responsible for building out our clusters worldwide.
• Develop GitHub actions for CI, implement ArgoCD for Kubernetes, and utilize Opentofu for cloud resources.
• Build and maintain our observability solutions, ensuring alerts are relevant and up to date.
• Manage security across AWS and other cloud providers.

About you :

• Proficiency in working with databases, optimizing performance and queries.
• Deep understanding of secure implementations on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Experience configuring Linux nodes for optimal performance at scale.
• Familiarity with services like AWS CDK, EKS, ASG, etc.
• Passion for Kubernetes and understanding how to scale effectively.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation to avoid manual system changes.
• Ability to optimize infrastructure costs and familiarity with emerging technologies like ARM-based machines.
• Over 4 years of experience managing and securing distributed systems on cloud platforms.
• Energetic and eager to work in a dynamic startup environment, contributing to building innovative technology from the ground up.
• Bonus: interest in experimenting with AI models.
