Job Description:

The Role: This administrator will be a subject matter expert responsible for the operational health, performance, and governance of the core components of our modern data stack, built on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on the administration, optimisation, and security of our Azure Data Lake, Fivetran ingestion platform, Kafka streaming platform, Airflow orchestration environment, and Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring a reliable and efficient environment for all data operations.

Requirements: Administer the Snowflake data warehouse (on Azure), manage Kafka/Confluent Cloud platform, Fivetran platform, Airflow environment, and govern the Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2). Act as the technical point of contact for platform issues, liaising with security, network, and infrastructure teams within the Azure ecosystem.

Ideal Candidate Profile: Experience in Data Platform Administration, Data Operations, or Data Engineering within an Azure environment. Deep experience with Azure core services, platform components like Snowflake, Kafka, Fivetran, and Airflow. Strong understanding of platform integration, SQL, scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), and orchestration tools. Industry experience in Insurance or Financial Services is a plus.
