Descripción del empleo

The Role: This administrator will be a subject matter expert responsible for the operational health, performance, and governance of the core components of our modern data stack, built on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on the administration, optimization, and security of our Azure Data Lake, Fivetran ingestion platform, Kafka streaming platform, Airflow orchestration environment, and Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring a reliable and efficient environment for all data operations.

Requirements:

• Administer the Snowflake data warehouse (on Azure), including user/role management, resource monitoring, cost optimization, and security controls.
• Manage and operate the Kafka / Confluent Cloud platform, including topic management, cluster health monitoring, and ensuring real-time data stream reliability.
• Administer the Fivetran platform, managing connectors, monitoring data pipelines, and ensuring integration reliability.
• Manage and operate the Airflow environment, including DAG deployment, connection management, and workflow monitoring.
• Govern Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2), managing access controls, storage policies, and ensuring it serves as a reliable raw data landing zone.
• Act as the technical point of contact for platform issues, liaising with security, network, and infrastructure teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Solid experience in Data Platform Administration, Data Operations, or as a Data Engineer within an Azure environment.
• Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure core services like Azure Data Lake, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Networking.
• Hands-on administrative experience with Snowflake, Kafka, Fivetran, and Airflow.
• Good understanding of integration patterns and technical requirements for connecting platforms within Azure.
• Strong SQL skills, scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), and operational experience with Airflow.
• Previous experience in Insurance or Financial Services is a plus.
