Sateliot, a Barcelona-based satellite company, is seeking a senior software engineer to establish and lead the mission planning capability. You will prototype, validate against real constraints, and drive development with operations teams, becoming the technical reference for planning systems and service optimisation.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, iterative delivery, and close collaboration with satellite operations, network operations, and service engineering to ensure production-ready

Formación

• Seven+ years in senior software engineering with production systems
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Go, Java, C++ or similar)
• Experience with scheduling, planning, constraint-based optimisation or related systems
• Ability to extract requirements from non-technical domain experts and translate them into technical designs
• Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

• Define system needs with domain experts and translate constraints into validated models
• Lead development of the planning system and guide the team with short iterations and demonstrable increments
• Solve arbitration between service demand and infrastructure availability with auditable constraints
• Collaborate with network operations, satellite operations and service engineering to align system behaviour and KPIs
