What you’ll do

As a Senior PHP Developer, you’ll play a key role in building and improving the backbone of our platform. You’ll write clean, efficient, and scalable code, design reliable databases, and tackle challenging problems that come with a global marketplace used by thousands every day.

You’ll also help shape our processes: sharing ideas, suggesting improvements, and mentoring teammates. If you care about best practices, love shipping high-quality code, and enjoy cross-disciplinary collaboration — you’ll fit right in.

Your day-to-day

• Develop, maintain, and scale backend services using PHP and Symfony.
• Design robust, optimized database structures and write efficient SQL queries.
• Manage version control with Git to support clean, collaborative development.
• Support and improve our DevOps practices (familiarity with servers and deployments is a plus).
• Write tests following good practices (TDD, BDD) to ensure reliability.
• Contribute to system design, understanding patterns and architecture.
• Work with asynchronous systems, queues (RabbitMQ), and microservices when needed.
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and help junior developers grow.
• Collaborate daily with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful features.
• Maintain focus on code quality, scalability, and performance throughout development.

• 6+ years of professional experience building backend systems with PHP.
• Deep expertise in Symfony.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and query optimization.
• Good understanding of Git workflows.
• Solid grasp of DevOps basics — troubleshooting, deploying, and system maintenance skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies; we use Trello for organization.
• Proactive mindset — ownership, problem-solving, and proposing improvements.
• Passion for clean code, quality, and continuous learning.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
