LGT Digital Factory in Barcelona is seeking a Performance Engineer to join the Windtunnel team. You will conduct performance, load and stress tests on web apps and analyze frontend performance using modern tools to identify bottlenecks across frontend, APIs and infrastructure.

Collaborate with developers, testers, architects and business stakeholders to integrate performance testing into CI/CD, document test strategies and results, and champion a performance-first culture.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in performance testing, ideally in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, k6).
• Experience with frontend monitoring frameworks and developer tools.
• Proficiency in scripting and test automation (JavaScript, Python, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular).
• Performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, caching, CDN, minification).
• Backend/API dependencies and their impact on frontend performance.
• Cloud and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Synthetic monitoring and observability solutions (New Relic, AppDynamics, Elastic APM).
• Experience in banking sector or with secure, regulated environments is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Regular performance, load, and stress tests on web applications to ensure SLAs.
• Analyze frontend performance using modern tools and browser dev tools.
• Identify performance bottlenecks across frontend, APIs, and infrastructure and recommend improvements.
• Own and lead the Windtunnel as a recurring engagement program.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, architects, and stakeholders to integrate performance testing into CI/CD.
• Document test strategies, scenarios and results with clear reporting for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Drive adoption of a performance-first culture by coaching teams and embedding testing early in development lifecycles.
• Monitor production environments using RUM and synthetic testing solutions.
