Blu Selection is seeking a Payroll Specialist to lead the monthly payroll for 700+ employees in Barcelona during a maternity leave cover. You will own end-to-end payroll processing and coordinate with external vendors to ensure timely, accurate pay every cycle.

What is the project?

You’ll be stepping into a dynamic, global hub in Barcelona to lead payroll operations during a maternity leave cover. This project centers on taking total ownership of monthly payroll processing for roughly 700 employees, partnering closely with external vendors, and keeping the entire compensation engine running without a hitch!

The role & its responsibilities

• Ensure 100% On-Time Payroll: Lead the monthly cycle for 700 team members, validating inputs like bonuses, leaves, and variable pay to guarantee accurate execution.
• Optimize Benefits Administration: Manage health insurance, flexible compensation, pension plans, and meal vouchers to maintain high employee satisfaction.
• Maintain Audit-Ready Compliance: Perform routine reconciliations, data controls, and stay aligned with local labor legislation to safeguard operational integrity.
• Deliver Actionable HR Analytics: Turn raw data into insights by producing regular reports on headcount, absenteeism, and compensation metrics to support strategic decision-making.

What you should bring

The Master of Numbers & Compliance

• Must-Haves:
  • 5+ years of experience managing end-to‑end payroll alongside external providers for populations of around 700+ employees.
