Job summary

Cubico Sustainable Investments Limited seeks an experienced professional to join the Origination & Execution team in Europe, based in Madrid. The role focuses on structuring and executing debt financings for renewable assets, with significant autonomy and collaboration across internal teams.

Ideal candidates will have strong project finance expertise in European renewables, experience with lender due diligence, and the ability to manage complex financing processes through to close.

Qualifications

• Proven project finance experience in European renewables, gained in banks or investors.
• Experience negotiating term sheets, facility agreements and related docs.
• Strong financial modelling and ability to review complex project finance models.
• Deep understanding of wind, solar, battery storage and investment cycles.
• Excellent communication to address contractual, commercial, and technical issues.
• Ability to adapt priorities under tight deadlines.
• Relevant academic and professional qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead project and portfolio financing from structuring to financial close.
• Oversee equity investment processes, including due diligence and documentation.
• Collaborate with Development, Legal, Tax, Finance and other teams.
• Engage with external advisers in M&A and financing processes.
• Coach and develop junior members of the O&E team.
