Role Overview

The operation engineer plays a vital role in maintaining and operating simulators, serving both internal and external customers, including instructors, plant operators, auditors, and inspectors. This role offers a professional environment with high standards of quality and safety, acting as an interface between users and simulation technology, complemented by knowledge of plant operation.

Candidate Profile

We seek an engineer with at least 5 years of demonstrable experience operating nuclear power plants. The ideal candidate will be capable of conducting operational tests on simulators, diagnosing situations, and specifying work orders after a brief training period. Essential qualities include decision-making skills, teamwork, operational and project management abilities, leadership, and a commitment to high-quality service.

What We Offer

  • Work with a team of Operation Engineers at our Tarragona facilities in Hospitalet De L'Infant, managing multiple projects in the simulation area.
  • Support maintenance and modernization of nuclear simulators in Ascó and Vandellós, with potential shift work.
  • Occasional reinforcement of French nuclear simulators, including planned trips to Madrid and France.
  • Support development of proprietary technology simulators remotely from Tarragona.
  • Assist in developing operating procedures and training support.

Main Tasks

  • Specify modifications based on operating discrepancies and plant design updates.
  • Design and execute acceptance tests for simulator changes.
  • Conduct periodic testing to maintain simulator certification.
  • Support training school in testing and validating training scenarios.
  • Participate in audits and inspections following configuration control processes.
  • Engage in engineering analyses related to plant modifications.
  • Validate changes to plant operating procedures.
  • Provide simulator training for end users.

Requirements

  • Training in operation and PWR technology; certification plan to be defined.
  • French level C1.
  • Valued experience in simulation, engineering support, or CCNN operations.
  • Availability for short-term travel.
  • Driver's license.
