Job summary

Voodoo in Barcelona, a leading mobile games publisher, seeks a Senior Game Designer for Mob Control to own design and feature execution and collaborate with a Product Director on strategy for the unit.

You'll design core loops, systems, balance, and monetization models, work with product managers, engineers, and artists, analyze KPIs, and help shape the game's long-term roadmap to deliver a top midcore title.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mobile midcore games (strategy, 4X, or similar).
• Proven track record in gameplay design, balancing, and meta feature design.
• Strong communication skills, with a focus on clear design documentation.
• Ability to absorb and apply feedback from multiple sources with flexibility and no ego.
• Skilled at simplifying and communicating complex systems.
• Comfortable analyzing KPIs and player behavior to guide design decisions.
• Passion for mobile midcore games and deep knowledge of market dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Design features & systems: create new core loops and meta systems to drive engagement, social dynamics, and monetization.
• Collaborate across teams: partner with product managers, engineers, and artists to bring features from concept to live release.
• Leverage player insights: analyze KPIs to inform design choices and identify opportunities to boost retention, engagement, and IAP monetization.
• Contribute to vision & strategy: participate in defining the overall game vision, strategic direction, and long-term roadmap.
