Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Pinto, Spain seeks a Senior Mission Simulation Engineer to lead design, development, and testing of advanced simulators for aerospace systems.

You will integrate subsystems, perform rigorous testing, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining documentation and supporting users. A strong background in real-time simulation and ARINC/DO-178C considerations is valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in developing and testing mission simulators or real-time systems.
• Strong experience with C++ programming.
• Knowledge of simulation architectures and system integration.
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink and development environments.
• Advanced Spanish and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement mission simulation models for complex aerospace systems.
• Lead integration of subsystems within simulation environments for interoperability.
• Conduct comprehensive simulator testing to ensure accuracy and fidelity.
• Identify and resolve technical issues to optimize performance and stability.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineers.
• Define simulation architectures and select appropriate technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
• Provide technical support and training to simulator users.
• Document simulation design, implementation, and results.
