Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Madrid Getafe area invites a Senior Software Engineer to join the Spanish Trainer project. You will work on C++-based simulation software across the full lifecycle, from requirements to integration in complex simulators.

The role demands expert C++ skills, experience with regulated development lifecycles, and willingness to travel about one week every two months. Permanent, on-site position with cutting-edge defense simulation tech.

Formación

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert C++ programming with memory, concurrency, and performance focus.
• Deep knowledge of design patterns and software architecture.
• Experience in regulated software life cycles (AQAP/DO-178C or similar).
• Strong testing background and V-Model development understanding.
• Systems integration in simulation or embedded avionics contexts.
• Proficient with Linux, Docker, Conan, and Makefiles.
• Willingness to travel about one week every two months.

Responsabilidades

• Lead requirements engineering and document traceable software requirements.
• Design architecture and detailed components for real-time simulations.
• Implement robust C++ code with high performance in mind.
• Define test strategies and build automated test suites.
• Integrate software into large simulators and HIL environments.
• Enforce process compliance and manage lifecycle artifacts.
• Mentor peers and lead code/design reviews.
