Group IPS in Madrid is seeking a Manager to lead the Building Installations Engineering Department, coordinating the MEP team on complex projects and aligning with structural and architectural groups.

You will oversee design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and fire protection systems, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and drive safety and energy efficiency across portfolios.

Formación

• Degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; 7+ years as MEP coordinator; 10+ years total experience.
• Solid knowledge of building systems design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, electrical circuits, and lighting controls.
• Data centers or mission‑critical proj. experience is a plus.
• Languages: English and Spanish; other languages a plus.
• Experience in other building services (fire protection, acoustics, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of software such as REVIT MEP is a plus.
• Strong coordination skills, initiative, and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the facilities team, coordinate staff, manage projects and clients, and collaborate with other departments within the group (architecture, structural engineering, etc.).
• Manage and supervise building facilities projects including mechanical, electrical, lighting, plumbing, sanitation, fire protection, and related systems.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure proper integration of MEP systems within the overall project.
• Supervise the installation and commissioning of systems, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international regulations, as well as safety and energy efficiency standards.
• Prepare and coordinate budgets, technical drawings, and specifications, using project management software and the Autodesk platform.
• Inspect and analyze technical issues, propose solutions, and make design adjustments based on site conditions.
• Coordinate and supervise the technical teams and contractors responsible for the installation of MEP systems.
• Report to project managers and contractors.
• Ensure that health and safety policies are followed on site and assist in preparing documentation for permits and licenses.
