Sani/Ikos Group in Madrid is seeking a qualified MEP Engineer to support the construction team. The role includes supervising MEP works, assisting in monitoring contractor activities, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Position Overview

Responsibilities

• Support the site team in the supervision and follow-up of MEP works during the construction stage, reporting progress and issues to the Project Manager and monitor construction activities to verify that MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, company standards, and applicable legislation.
• Assist in monitoring the activities of MEP contractors and subcontractors on site and report performance, issues, and deviations to the Project Manager and review and follow up RFIs, site queries, and minor design adjustments during construction.
• Attend site, progress, and coordination meetings, providing technical input and progress updates and coordinate with civil teams, MEP contractors, consultants, and supervisory engineers on site matters, escalating coordination issues to the Project Manager.
• Verify installation progress and support the monitoring of project schedules, reporting risks or delays to the Project Manager and assist in the review of MEP installation drawings, material submittals, and equipment prior to installation.
• Support quality control activities by checking that required inspections, tests, and quality records are properly completed by MEP contractors and support start-up and commissioning activities on site, coordinating with the Commissioning Manager and reporting progress, deviations, or issues.
• Support and follow up the preparation of As-Built drawings, Building Book documentation, and required approvals from relevant authorities and maintain updated site records related to MEP works, changes, and as-built information.

Qualifications

• BSc in MEP Engineering and at least 3 years of working experience in a related position.
• Relevant construction experience in hotels is valuable.
• Excellent command of MS Office (Excel, Word) and excellent command of AUTOCAD.
• Strong command of PRESTO / MENFIS and MS Project.
• Fluent in English and valuable fluent in Spanish/Portuguese.
• Analytical understanding of engineering to solve issues, ability to work under pressure and enthusiastic, positive work ethic, and the ability to work well within a team of professionals.
