Group IPS is seeking a Manager for the Building Installations Engineering department in Madrid to lead the facilities team and coordinate with architecture and structural groups on building projects. You will oversee MEP systems design and installation, ensure safety and energy compliance, drive budgets and schedules, supervise on-site commissioning, and report to project managers.

English and Spanish are required; a degree in engineering and 7+ years in MEP coordination are essential, with data

Formación

• Degree in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years as MEP team coordinator; 10+ years total experience.
• Knowledge of building systems design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, electrical circuits, and lighting controls.
• English and Spanish required; other languages a plus.
• REVIT MEP experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the facilities team, coordinating staff, managing projects and clients, and coordinating with other departments within the group: architecture, structural engineering, etc.
• Manage and supervise building facilities projects, including mechanical, electrical, lighting, plumbing, sanitation, fire protection and other related systems.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure proper integration of MEP systems within the overall project.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of systems, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international regulations, as well as safety and energy efficiency standards.
• Prepare and coordinate budgets, technical drawings, and specifications, using tools such as project management software to document and coordinate work and the Autodesk platform.
• Inspect and analyze technical issues, propose solutions, and make design adjustments based on actual site conditions.
• Coordinate and supervise the technical teams and contractors responsible for the installation of MEP systems.
• Report to project managers and contractors.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed on-site and assist in preparing documentation for permits and licenses.

Group IPS is looking for a Manager for the Building installations engineering department at one of the group's companies

Based in Madrid, the candidate will manage the building services team within a group dedicated to the design of building projects and will coordinate with the group's structural and architectural teams.

Profile

Your responsibilities may include:

• Leading the facilities team, coordinating staff, managing projects and clients, as well as coordinating with other departments within the group: architecture, structural engineering, etc.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 7 years of experience as an MEP team coordinator. Over 10 years of total experience.
• Solid knowledge of building systems design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, electrical circuits, and lighting controls.
• Experience in data centers or similar mission-critical projects is a plus.
• Languages: English and Spanish. Other languages are a plus.
• Experience in other building services (fire protection, acoustics, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of specific software (REVIT MEP is a plus).
• Coordination skills, initiative, and attention to detail.
