Job summary

NEXTIUM by Idneo is seeking a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer to drive research, conceptualization and design of complex automation solutions for medical and in vitro diagnostic devices. You will work across the full product lifecycle, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and interfacing directly with clients to ensure technical success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in complex mechanical engineering products and automation.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Strong teamwork and project organizing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Investigate concepts and propose solutions for Medical Devices & IVD technology challenges.
• Design automation concepts using catalogue and custom mechanisms.
• Develop Medical Devices throughout the lifecycle using mechanical engineering concepts and simulation tools (FEA/CFD).
• Coordinate with System, Electronics and Software teams to integrate mechanical components.
• Drive industrialization of product designs for mass production (low-to-mid volumes).
• Define test plans for design verification and apply statistical data analysis.
• Collaborate with customers on design status and project progress.
