Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Designer in the Transformers Business to create and validate transformer designs that meet strict customer specifications.

The role involves 3D modeling, manufacturing drawings, and SAP data entry, with frequent collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and service teams. Ideal candidates hold BE/ME in Electrical or Mechanical, possess 12–18 years of relevant experience in power transformer design, and are proficient in Creo and CAD

Qualifications

• BE/ME in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• 12–18 years of industry experience.
• Experience in Mechanical design of Power Transformers.
• Proficiency in 2-D and 3-D CAD software like Creo or similar.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and prepare order bound drawings and documents.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings and SAP entries.
• Coordinate with Service/Manufacturing/Quality for designs and clarification.
• Lead design reviews and customer discussions.
• Visit customer sites for design approvals and clarifications.
• Optimize transformer designs per tender requirements and technology needs.
• Ensure timely delivery of design specifications and related documentation.
