Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a Design Engineer to understand customer requirements and deliver power transformer and shunt reactor designs within defined timelines. You will follow established processes, verify against standards, and prepare ERP-based manufacturing docs while aligning with customer specs and KPIs.

You will also lead design reviews, optimize costs, and ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards, while collaborating across disciplines in a global company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in electrical designing of power transformers and shunt reactors.
• Strong understanding of transformer and shunt reactor testing.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD tools such as Creo/Magnet or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering tasks for Power Transformers.
• Understand customer requirements during quotation stage and after project receipt.
• Follow engineering process to create order designs and documents aligned with customer specs and KPIs.
• Perform design verification using engineering tools, standards, and customer requirements.
• Plan and monitor assigned projects to consistently achieve related KPIs.
• Prepare/manufacture documents for 3D models, 2D drawings and BOMs in ERP.
• Lead design reviews with customers for approvals and clarifications.
