Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking an experienced Designer Electrical to translate customer requirements into robust designs for power transformers and shunt reactors.

You will engage in design reviews, prepare manufacturing documents, and ensure alignment with IEC/IEEE/DIN standards while coordinating with the Electrical Engineering Manager and other functions. The role requires strong CAD skills (Creo/MagNet), solid knowledge of design verification, and the ability to manage documentation and KPIs

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in electrical design of power transformers and shunt reactors.
• Understanding of testing and domain expertise in power transformer and shunt reactor testing.
• Experience with 2-D/3-D CAD software packages such as Creo/MagNet or similar.
• Ability to work across functions and optimize designs for cost and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering tasks for power transformers and shunt reactors.
• Understand customer requirements during quotation and after project receipt.
• Follow engineering processes to create designs and documents with cost considerations.
• Perform design verification using standards and customer requirements.
• Prepare and archive project documentation in ERP and manage BOMs.
• Lead design reviews and mitigate risks in consultation with management.
• Support manufacturing with design specifications and manufacturing documents.
• Visit customers for design reviews and clarifications.
• Monitor assigned projects to achieve related KPIs.
• Provide technical support during erection, commissioning and site-related matters.
