Hitachi Energy in Vadodara, India, seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer specializing in transformer design to join a global engineering team. You will contribute to tender specifications, electrical design, and documentation for power transformers, coordinating with worldwide sites and ensuring compliance with international standards.

The role requires 9–12 years of electrical transformer design experience, strong teamwork, and fluency in English.

Formación

• B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering.
• 9 to 12 years experience in electrical design for power transformers manufacturing.
• Order Engineering experience is required. Deep understanding of transformer manufacturing.
• Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics.
• IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards knowledge (Canadian standards a plus).
• Experience in simulation or software development is advantageous.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and tools.
• Ability to communicate with global technical teams.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare electrical design quotations following standards and project schedules.
• Prepare customer and manufacturing documentation, BOMs and related deliverables.
• Coordinate design activities across a global factory network.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Transformer Design at the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India, youll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, diversity, and collaboration. How youll make an impact

• The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Power Transformer design covering different countries.
• Influence specification at the tender and pre-tender stage, through conceptual discussions.

• Responsible to prepare electrical design Quotation meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE / IEC /IS standards as per project schedule.
• Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing documents, Bill of materials etc. as per project schedule.

• Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Participation in internal design concept reviews.
• Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

Your background

• 9 to 12 yearsexperience working in Electrical design for Power Transformers manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.
• Order Engineering experience is required. Deep understanding manufacturing of transformer is required.

• Should have good understanding of IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards/ Canadian Standards.
