Job Description:

Our client, a leading multinational company in its sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join its team in Madrid.

Senior Design Engineer - Solar Trackers and Fixed Structures

Responsibilities:

• Offer Support: Perform engineering work using SolidWorks and CAD software to solve problems in tracker and fixed structure calculation and design. Responsibilities include layout verification, PVsyst verification, local standard calculation adaptation, and wind tunnel test load interpretation.
• R&D Activities: Support at university test fields, set up prototypes and electrical/control systems, participate in new product design, calculations, and testing.
• Project Management: Follow up with Spanish team activities, optimize work load, and organize tasks.
• Field Support: Occasional visits to solar plant sites to support activities and supervise construction and commissioning of solar plants.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering major.
• No prior experience in the renewable energy sector required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in technical product design in a technical office.
• Experience with 3D CAD software, SolidWorks, and FE, Ansys preferred.
• Self-motivated team player.
