Our client (leading multinational company in its sector) is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join its team in Madrid.

Senior Design Engineer - Solar Trackers and Fixed Structures

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Offer Support:
2. Perform engineering work using Solidworks and CAD software to solve problems in Tracker and Fixed Structure Calculation and Design.
3. Layout Verification.
4. Local Standard calculation adaptation.
5. Wind tunnel test loads interpretation.
6. R&D activities:
7. Support at University Test field. Set up of prototypes and electrical/control system.
8. Participate in New Products design and calculation and New Products tests.
9. Project Management:
10. Follow up of Spanish team activities.
11. Work-load optimization and organization.
12. Field Support:
13. Occasional visit to Solar Plant sites to give support to activities.
14. Help with supervising the construction and commissioning of the Solar Plant.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering major.
2. No experience in the renewable energy sector is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years experience in technical product design in a technical office.
4. Experience with 3D CAD software, SolidWorks and FE, Ansys preferred.
5. Self-motivated team player.
