Role Overview

Canonical has provided developers with open source solutions since 2004, supporting innovations in cloud, machine learning, robotics, and blockchain. The Marketing team focuses on technology adoption, data privacy, and open source marketing strategies. We seek a Marketing Analytics Senior Manager to drive growth hacking initiatives and data-driven marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the growth engineering team, including data analysts and marketing specialists, to optimize commercial results.
  • Design and manage the marketing technology stack, integrating tools like Marketo, Google Analytics, Superset, Kubeflow, and WordPress.
  • Oversee customer lifecycle analytics: ABM, attribution, funnel performance, and retention.
  • Develop and monitor OKRs and conversion metrics across marketing channels.
  • Enhance lead scoring, flow, and conversion rates.
  • Implement web analytics and SEO strategies for organic growth.
  • Optimize Return on Ad Spend through attribution and channel analysis.
  • Maintain data quality through governance policies.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation with tools like A/B and MAB testing.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop data solutions for GTM challenges.
  • Support team training and documentation to ensure execution excellence.
Candidate Profile
  • Degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience with a strong academic record.
  • Analytical mindset with project management experience driving business success.
  • Expertise in marketing analytics, scripting languages (Python, JS), and SQL databases.
  • Leadership experience managing analytical and creative teams.
  • Experience with open source martech stacks and building experimentation cultures.
  • Web analytics and SEO expertise.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate strategic questions into impactful analytics.
  • Willingness to travel 2-4 times annually for internal events.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with ML models for lead generation and retention.
