ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM :

We are seeking an Associate Director, Data Analytics to be the strategic partner and main contact for all data-related needs within our Product Marketplace & Ads zones. This role involves partnering with leaders across these zones to drive strategy and collaborating with cross-functional teams in operations and marketing. You will manage a team of analysts, focusing on identifying opportunities and delivering value.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
  1. Manage, develop, and mentor a team of analysts.
  2. Take a holistic approach to stakeholder needs across data science & analytics, business intelligence, machine learning, and data engineering.
  3. Collaborate with data science and product teams to identify opportunities for data products and predictive models using NLP, recommender systems, forecasting, and other advanced techniques.
  4. Utilize analytics and descriptive statistical models to explore data and identify opportunities.
  5. Build a reporting infrastructure tailored to the needs of the Marketplace & Ads teams, including executive and operational reports.
  6. Develop methodologies for measuring performance across different product and customer journey segments.
  7. Oversee analysis of large datasets to uncover insights and inform decisions.
  8. Design and conduct A/B testing experiments, promoting an iterative learning culture.
  9. Create tools and data products that automate manual tasks, improve efficiency, and enable self-service for users.
QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
  • Solid knowledge of applied statistics.
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing design and analysis.
  • Experience working in a two-sided marketplace or eCommerce environment.
  • High-level understanding of data architecture, pipelines, and database design.
  • Proficiency in at least one visualization tool.
  • 3+ years of leadership and management experience in data analytics.
  • A proven track record of influencing organizational decisions and driving business impact.
