WiseEnergy is a trusted and established solar asset manager offering comprehensive services to manage and optimize large-scale solar plants from development to long-term operational asset management. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate finance professional to support finance asset management services for one of our key clients across multiple international jurisdictions.

We seek someone who cares about their colleagues, values collaboration, and enjoys a vibrant team environment. While attention to detail is crucial in finance roles, this position also requires a balance of interpersonal skills—being comfortable building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The role is senior and involves managing finance operations for our assets in the USA, with potential support for other regions. The current model involves overseeing outsourced service providers, with plans to develop local offices as scale increases. The role will support financial services provision from these local markets.

Reporting to the Finance Manager in London, the successful candidate will collaborate with accountants and other business functions. They may also perform similar tasks for other funds or clients as needed. Consistency, accuracy, high-quality customer service, proactive issue resolution, and continuous improvement are expected standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Onboarding
  2. Verifying documents against checklists and data room information
  3. Supporting KYC documentation and administrative setup
  4. Reviewing contracts for financial impact in conjunction with the Commercial Department
  1. Accounting & Reporting
  2. Preparing and reviewing management accounts and financial statements for SPVs and holding companies, ensuring compliance with USA regulations
  3. Reviewing bookkeeping records and consolidations
  4. Managing operational dashboards and compliance trackers
  5. Supporting ERP implementation and transitioning to in-house finance functions
  6. Managing audits and budgets
  1. Cash Management
  2. Overseeing invoicing, payments, bank accounts, and treasury activities
  3. Tracking cash flow and liquidity forecasts
  1. Systems and Processes
  2. Documenting and implementing systems and control processes
  3. Maintaining organized documentation and tax compliance trackers
  1. Stakeholder Management
  2. Collaborating with internal teams and external partners, including clients, accountants, and tax advisors
  1. Adhoc Tasks
  2. Supporting the team with various tasks as needed in this dynamic sector
Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent time management and prioritization
  • Strong communication skills in English, possibly other European languages

Experience & Qualifications
  • ACCA / ACA / CA qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Knowledge of multiple GAAPs, including IFRS and US GAAP
  • 4-6 years of relevant finance experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software, preferably NetSuite
  • Interest in process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Renewable energy sector experience is highly desirable
  • Experience managing third-party service providers is a plus
  • Excellent presentation and conflict resolution skills
  • Advanced business English proficiency
