Maersk Global Trade and Customs Consulting (GTCC) provides expert advisory services in all aspects of trade, including cross-border trade and border processes. GTCC is a strategic consulting product for Maersk, developing innovative, fast, and sustainable border solutions.

We are a market leader in Customs Consulting, offering tailor-made solutions to ensure all import and export transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Our consulting team includes experienced project managers and trade and customs consultants, many with backgrounds as customs officers. We are seeking a Senior Customs Consultant for our GTCC Team in Spain.

Role Overview

A Customs Consultant possesses broad knowledge of international trade and the global flow of goods, enabling effective client advice. The Senior Consultant acts as a key link between clients and delivery teams, focusing on pricing and opportunity strategies. They understand the product deeply and are attuned to customer needs, generating business through sales enablement both internally and externally, including interactions with senior stakeholders at client organizations.

The purpose of this role within Maersk Customs Services is to generate consulting business by engaging with various parts of the commercial organization and leading interactions with top customers at a strategic level.

Responsibilities

1. Organize and execute assigned business projects according to client requirements.
2. Coordinate with delivery leaders on large projects.
3. Gather information about clients' businesses through interviews, reports, surveys, etc.
4. Analyze data to identify issues and root causes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
• Bid writing experience is preferred to support bid responses.
• Effective communication with clients, colleagues, and senior leadership.
